We were very happy with our 2 nights at the Hermes Hotel. Our room was very comfortable and we really appreciated the COLD AC! We enjoyed an excellent restaurant just steps away and the location was great for exploring, yet you could return home to a more quiet neighborhood. Breakfast on day 1 was amazing. Our early flight on day 2 meant we could not enjoy the breakfast buffet, but a small breakfast was left out for us in the dining area. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Athens!

Hermes Hotel was great! The room was spacious and clean, the receptionists were all very helpful and kind, and the hotel breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend.

Booked this hotel due to the location....in the middle of everything (largely walking distance to everything you will likely want to do) but still fairly quiet along with having good AC. Start with the positives: -Good water pressure -Great included breakfast... Greek yogurt with all the toppings, eggs, Greek salad, some pastries, and a great coffee and cappuccino maker. -Strong AC/air conditioning which is a must for me -Location was desirable -Good cleaning staff..my room was clean with fresh towels daily and they clean the rooms early so it was nice to change in my room midday. -Huge balcony which I did not expect Negatives: -Like some reviews suggested, the bed. The mattress is the kind where you will feel the springs inside. Maybe some people like this? -Staff wasn't the friendliest -Price was overpriced IMO for what it was a clean, no thrills hotel well located. I know it's not in the same country but I've stayed at similar hotels in Paris during the high season and they weren't anywhere near as much as Hermes was charging in June -I did see some insects in my room (although not many). Saw a couple of ants and what looked like a small roach (I tried not to look as it was in my bed...)
