It’s was fun, I like the experience

Quite good, 2 decent shops near by slightly uphill but it's not to bad The Atmosphere was okay, people were really loud and was really great for the Spanish final and the live things they had to offer were amazing Rooms were good for the price, they did need sprucing up but for the price wasn't so bad. Rooms were clean fairly well, on the other hand the kitchen cutlery was appalling cups were literally like they were never cleaned, the plates were usually clean but every once in a while u cought onto a contaminated plate. it was disgusting. Also, during off season and peak holiday times the queue to enter the restaurant were huge and you would have to be 15/20 minutes early before opening, not a problem can be easily dealt with. The entertainment was really really good and I enjoyed every bit of it. with games and really kind and thoughtful staff. Plus points for a worker called Mateo who was literally amazing! he was so kind and really helpful and made many of the games extremely fun, every day he would greet me and say hello and how my day is going. Absolute legend give this man a raise 10/10 Would recommend hotel will be coming back

I am not sure how the hotel has been getting a three star rating. These are the things you need to know before you book - please be aware I am writing this as a guest of floor 5 and I was NOT all inclusive. Starting with the positive! *receptionist Irene was lovely helpful & kind *I didn’t use the hottub but heard good reviews of it *the entertainment team seemed to keep the kids happy *wifi is excellent *pool clean *pizza from the bar delish (but served with a scowl!) HOWEVER *first red flag - when you pull up to the hotel the windows are filthy *there was a discarded napkin on my balcony on day one & it was still there 7 days later *in the very shabby room there is no kettle, fridge, instructions on how things work, no hook on the door of the bathroom, no bolt on the door (I was a female travelling alone) and no full length mirror *I couldn’t get a smile from ANY of the staff except Irene. I couldn’t decide if they didn’t like me, the Brits or their jobs. Possibly all three. *terrible clanking from the pipes and the walls are paper thin *there was a hairdryer in the bathroom but it made such a horrific rattle I was too scared to use it *if you want the use of your safe in your room it’s FIFTY SIX EUROS per week *the room was clean(ish) but not just tired - exhausted. *the music by the pool was sometimes ridiculously loud (this might just be my age!) If you enjoyed going to Pontins as a child in the 1970s, then this is the place for you. I won’t be returning.
