It’s a shame to give such a bad review because the hotel and everything was nice, but every night they have a dj playing music you can hear from the room till 2am. We travelled with a young baby who was disturbed every night and for the adults it was impossible to sleep. When we spoke to reception they just said that they cater for all guests, but I don’t understand how you can call yourself a family resort and do this.
This hotel is quite close to Antalya airport, our transfer only took about 45 mins. It's also only 17 mins of walking away from Belek centre with many shops and pharmacies. The hotel's own sandy beach is adjacent to the hotel, and we could always find free sunloungers, no matter what time of the day we went. Everywhere on the territory staff work hard to keep the place clean. Food was varied, fresh, tasty and plentiful. There's plenty of seating available inside, outside, upstairs and downstairs. We had a Garden room, which was in a building away from the main pool. The building was always in the shade, so though the heat could be felt on the balcony, it was never in the direct sunlight. Plus, the AC worked perfectly well in cooling down the room. During the day there were plenty of activities on offer: water slides (amazing!), pool games and fitness, darts, boccia, yoga, pilates etc. All activities are free for guests. For evening entertainment they had professional acts or made a party with a DJ, laser lights, all the works. The acts they had, while not perhaps, sleek and grand, were quite good. We certainly didn't feel the desire to walk out halfway from any of them, and we are an adult and a teenager. Plus, afterwards there was a disco with good music and a bar where they were even mixing cocktails. Altogether, we both loved our holiday at Asteria and would definitely recommend it!
Before arriving, I wrote a letter to the hotel with some requests. One of the requests was early check-in because the flight was at night and by 9 am we were already at the hotel tired. The other request was to be assigned a room on the third or fourth floor. In the end, neither request was fulfilled. We were checked in to a semi-basement room exactly at two. Although I saw that some tourists were accommodated earlier. I think the price of this issue was at the reception. I understand that they were not obliged to fulfill my requests, but they could have gone some way to meet me. Regarding the room, I knew that there would only be water in the refrigerator, but another unpleasant surprise awaited me. The absence of toothpaste and toothbrushes. I've never encountered this before. I think someone up there wants to save money. But not on the brushes))). They should have at least warned us to bring them. Another minus, I've never encountered in Turkish hotels. Mosquitoes!!! It seems they are also skimping on mosquito repellent. Therefore, before arriving, take mosquito repellent. Now to the positive aspects of the hotel. The hotel has a large green area. Everything is clean, the staff cleans up immediately at the table. That was super. I also have to thank the staff of the children's animation center. They put their heart into it. The children were very pleased. Good à la carte without reservation. I think the hotel's rating could be much better if not for the administration's foolish decisions about saving money.
