Stayed for three nights on the Grand Prix weekend. Interesting hotel set around a courtyard, the complete opposite of chain brand hotel experience, great breakfast included, rooms with high ceilings gave an old-world feel to the stay. The neighbourhood felt a bit shady when we first got there but it was fine and well connected by bus metro and train, the hotel was the perfect retreat inside from the city and the heat wave. The staff we really, really kind to us when my partner had a fall, I can say enough about how good they were.

We had booked three double rooms. Due to the Formula 1 weekend, a very high price of over 1800 EUR for 3 nights. Two of the rooms were sufficiently large. One of them was very small and had thin walls and no proper way to darken the room. No mirror and hardly any space for suitcases. There were no toiletries in the bathroom. There was only shower gel and soap. No shampoo etc. The bathrooms are outdated. Very loud in the inner courtyard. You would wake up at night. Air conditioning worked well. However, you could not adjust it. Breakfast very simple, but sufficient with fresh scrambled eggs. Reception was very friendly. However, two rooms received a chip for the door and one did not.
