We travelled as a family of six – four adults and two children – and honestly found the hotel to be much better than many of the reviews suggested. The hotel is located just a few minutes' walk from the beach. There is a hill to walk up on the return journey, but it is very manageable. We are all in our 50s and had no problems at all. There are three swimming pools, which were more than adequate for the number of guests. The only drawback is that the main pool only has ladder-style access rather than gradual walk-in steps, which may be difficult for guests with limited mobility. The hotel would benefit from investing in easier access steps. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Check-in was a little slow as there was only one member of staff on reception, but she was lovely, welcoming and clearly doing her best to look after everyone. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, which suited us perfectly as we enjoy eating out in different places each day. Breakfast was excellent, with a huge selection including bacon, eggs cooked in various ways, breads, cold meats, fish, fruit and pastries. There was genuinely something for everyone, along with fruit juices and even free-flowing sparkling wine at breakfast. Friends we met were staying all-inclusive and said the buffet meals were very good, freshly cooked and offered plenty of choice. The only area that disappointed us was the entertainment. We enjoyed the belly dancing evening, but overall it was fairly limited. The disco mainly consisted of entertainment staff playing a playlist with very little interaction with guests. We chose to stay out most evenings as it wasn't really worth returning to the hotel for the entertainment. Investing in better live entertainment would encourage more guests to stay in the hotel during the evenings and would likely increase bar and food sales. Would I stay at the Alba Seleqtta again if I visited Lloret de Mar? Absolutely. With a little more investment in entertainment, this would be a fantastic hotel and one that I would happily recommend.

2/5. Very disappointed. When we walked in the staff were rude. We were sent to our rooms which had no electricity in until an hour later when we asked multiple times. The hotel isn’t representative of the pictures pool is tiny. Only a few sunloungers available. Hotel & bedrooms were dirty. Food was nice if you’re happy with having the same thing each time. Hotel entertainment was late. You can only order certain drinks if full board. I never write reviews but felt this really took away from our experience & will not return ever.
