Following my call to book a room I am given a price that does not correspond to the one seen on the net, I call back I am told "you just have to make the reservation on the internet", I thank them and I hang up. I booked my room on the internet at a price much lower than the one announced by phone. Unpleasant welcome except that I have a double room, reason there is a bug, no apology... I asked to be woken up at 6 o'clock because I was taking my train "no call" Room whose AC filter has not been changed, faded carpet, very disappointed. I have lived in Libération for 20 years and have been coming to the restaurant and the rooftop, which have always been attentive and professional. Too bad...
We had booked the duplex family room; it was perfect. Welcoming, helpful, and professional staff. The luggage storage service was very useful.
We had a family room on the 3rd floor. The kids had a separate area with bunk beds. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were quiet, and we all slept well. Breakfast was a perfect start to the day, serving until 10am. The hotel is perfectly located for walking to the train station for trips to other towns and is just a short walk to the promenade and old town. There are also lots of restaurants nearby if you want to stay local to the hotel. We enjoyed days exploring beautiful Nice, a day trip to Monaco and also a day in Antibes. We can’t wait to return to Nice and would happily stay in Hotel Monsigny again.
