Despite this, the hotel refused any cancellation, refund, or reasonable alternative. The only option offered was a date change, which was not viable. I then proposed a fair alternative: transferring the reservation to another property within the same group in a different city, ensuring no financial loss for the hotel. This was also refused. This is not about policy itself, but about how rigidly and disproportionately it was applied, completely ignoring the circumstances. I attempted to resolve the issue directly with the hotel and through Booking.com, without any willingness to find a reasonable solution. I would strongly advise future guests to be cautious. Even if a mistake is reported immediately, do not expect flexibility. Very disappointing experience, not because of the stay, but because of how the situation was handled.
