Had a lovely week here in June, staff very friendly, room cleaned every day, breakfast quite good, hotel was spotless throughout. Food and drink at roof top bar reasonably priced. Service excellent.

In the heart of the old town. LOCATED - opposite the church, 10 mins from the beach, tourist info, town square, and shopping street, all near by. SUPERMARKETS - Aldi and Carrefour very close by with good prices, e g. 8 litres water 94 cents from Aldi. The hotel is family run, taking up the full block, each side is different, some without balconies, family rooms with Terrence's, some rooms look inwards.24 hour reception, TV room. Bar, children's area, luggage room, 2 lifts, rooftop swimming pool, bar, sunbathing area, entertainment with singers, DJ. Downstairs showers for late checkouts. Mobility scooters for rent at reception. ROOMS - We where given an adapted room, even though we booked a standard. Walk in shower with seat, toilet with handrails, hairdryer, shower gel, walk in wardrobe, 2 single beds pushed together, chair but no table, we did miss this, a drop down one, would be good. No kettle or fridge. 2 balconies as on a corner, table 2 chairs. Opposite the church which dings every 15 minutes, but stop's between midnight and 8am. We did get used to it. Rooms cleaned daily, thank you to the cleaners, asked for extra pillows, it wasn't a problem. Bedding and towels changed regularly. BREAKFAST - good but could be better e g. Instead of show cooking the eggs and bacon, do those in the back, and include omelettes and pancakes. Also no English and Spanish sausages, only small Smokey hot dog ones. Baked beans, strange flavour. Eggs very good scrambled, fried, boiled. Pastries, breads, meat, cheese, yoghurt, cereals, raisins, fresh fruit. Toasters and microwave. Tea, fresh ground coffee, juices and water. DINNER - Soup, regular salad, bean, pasta salad, occasionally - sushi, guacamole,bread. Hot meals - pasta, nuggets, chips, pizza, onion rings. Lasagne, canaloni, moussaka, calamari, squid, rabbit, meat dish, fish dish, rice, veg - aubergine, courgette, stuffed peppers. Gluten free, veggie choice. Show cooking - steaks, chicken, tuna, sword fish. Mexican, Indian, Chinese, Catalan, night. Dishes changed nightly. More Spanish than English dishes. Cakes - nice choice, fruit, Ice cream, Mr Whippy ice cream machine, Yoghurt. Must have room card, to get into the restaurant at all times, as they tick you off on their list. Always got a table, plenty of room, staff friendly, especially Sarah and Christine, and friendly chef. Ask reception the day before you leave, if you have an early pick up and will miss breakfast, they will do you a picnic. Cheese and ham sandwiches x 2, fruit X2, bottle of water, keep you going at the airport. The transfer drop off, and pick up, is on the main road, in front of the church, as only mini buses, and taxis, can get down the narrow street. We had a great holiday, and would stay here again.

Absolutely fantastic holiday. We loved every minute. We were in Sabiote hotel and had to use the facilities at hotel Merce but this was no problem at all. The food was brilliant and lots of choice, staff were helpful and friendly everywhere was clean and tidy. The rooms are a little small but perfectly adequate unless you got the dreaded 209 which we did but they changed our room with no complaints. Already booking for next year. Can't wait to go back.
