It's located in the Gothic Quarter, which is a busy, but beautiful area. There's plenty of shopping & pastries near by. We had a room with a terrace on the 1st floor (not the main level) & surprisingly we didn't hear the street noise from the room when the terrace doors were closed. I think its the train station that's just steps away from the front entrance. We were able to walk to many areas of interest, so we didn't use public transportation. At no point did we think the area felt unsafe - which is a plus when visiting from another county & unsure if you made the right hotel choice. The reason I'm only rating this hotel a 3 is because of the room itself. The bed mattress was ridiculous. It was thin, super hard & very loud with every movement. The shower was setup for accessibility, so the grab bar & seat? were in the way. The water escaped the shower drain & ended up getting the floor and toilet wet. If we were staying longer than just the 1 night, I would've asked if a different room was available. The room wasn't ready when we arrived early, so thankfully they were able to store our luggage while we ventured out. Aside from American branded restaurants, it was difficult to find a spot serving full meals around noon. Most places serve tapas (small items), or didn't open until a bit later.

Everything perfect. Very clean property, very convenient location, subway a stone's throw away, varied and quality breakfast. Very kind staff.

Right in the center of Barcelona (between the Gothic Quarter and El Born) is this nice hotel. It's a 3-star hotel but one that could be a 4-star. Given the price paid, you cannot ask for more. The room was quite good, clean, and easy to climate. The common areas were always clean and with original decoration. Breakfast was always quite varied and abundant. This hotel is an excellent option for a few days in Barcelona. I will recommend it to friends.
