Excellent location. Perfect for tourists and families. It has great pools and a private beach with an excellent beach bar. You but pre autherise your card to leave a credit at the reception. Please approach the day staff at the reception as they are better in terms of helping you. The management is good. Be patient as their are plenty of young interns who make lot of errors. Food is average and do not expect huge buffet options in dinner. We booked half board and happy with the price and options. Malta is hot in July so you would opt for light food anyways. Access to the center is by Uber. Their is a small departmental store of the hotel and no other shops around the hotel. The management will charge you for Early check-in and late checkout so do not expect any upgrade or complimentary gestures.
We are currently staying at this hotel, having booked through LoveHolidays who recommended it as a family-friendly, all‑inclusive resort. After only one day, it is already clear that the description is misleading and the reality falls far below expectations. 1. Check‑in Policy The hotel’s check‑in policy is unnecessarily rigid. Check‑in is strictly at 3:00pm — not a minute earlier — and early check‑in is only available at an additional cost. The attitude is more reminiscent of a detention facility than a welcoming resort. 2. “All Inclusive” – Completely Misleading What is advertised as all inclusive is, in practice, a very limited offering: Only a small selection of basic drinks and snacks. Extremely restricted food choices. Desserts consist of three cakes and some pineapple/watermelon. This is not an all‑inclusive dessert buffet by any stretch of the imagination. This is not an all‑inclusive experience and feels deliberately misleading. 3. Staff Attitude Staff interaction is disappointing. Basic politeness and customer engagement appear absent. Attempts to speak to staff are often ignored, and smiles or courtesy seem optional rather than standard. 4. Rooms Rooms are clean but dated. They do not match the standard expected of a 4‑star resort. 5. Pools and Activities The pool rules are excessively restrictive: No games No jumping No activities of any kind Children and families are essentially expected to stand quietly in the water. This is not compatible with a “family resort” and feels more like a set of military regulations. 6. Overall Impression After one day, it is clear that: The resort does not offer what it advertises. Everything beyond the bare minimum requires additional payment. The quality is closer to a 2‑star hotel than a 4‑star resort. We still have a full week ahead, but based on what we have seen so far, we do not expect any improvement. We will not be returning, and we strongly advise others to avoid this resort unless they wish to overspend and go hungry due to the limited food options.
After reading the comments, I wonder if we stayed at the same hotel. We arrived at night, and the check-in process was very quick. We were welcomed with a bottle of water in our room. The room and bathroom were old-fashioned but very clean, and housekeeping came every day. The entire hotel staff was fantastic. The views were beautiful. There were buses right across from the hotel that could take you anywhere. There were plenty of sun loungers and clean pools. Our room had a view of the ferries and Comino Island; I enjoy a lively atmosphere, so the fast-moving traffic didn't bother me. We enjoy walking and weren't fazed by the heat, so we visited Paradise Bay Beach several times. I highly recommend it—it was beautiful. We’ll never forget it.
