One of the best affordable hotels we stayed at in Rome. Very helpful and friendly staff! Great breakfast with fresh, local fruits, cheeses, breads, and of course coffee. Excellent AC in our room! Great walkable neighborhood with some really lovely trattorias within a block or two.

Having read a few harsh comments on here, I had to leave a review on the hotel. The first thing to mention are the staff who are absolutely fantastic, each and everyone we spoke to were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The location, in my opinion is excellent with its proximity to Termini and having multiple bus stops within a couple of a minutes walk. In relation to the comments about Termini and surrounding areas, we travelled back to the station each night after midnight and walked the 7 or 8 minutes to the hotel without any issue whatsoever. The hotel reception and bar area are really modern and spotless with excellent air con, which was much welcomed after trailing around the city all day. The rooms are a little dated and could do with an update but were more than adequate for the amount of time we spent in there. It was cleaned daily with fresh towels and for the price, we couldn't have asked for more. I would absolutely recommend Hotel Villafranca for a few days city break and wouldn't think twice about returning.
