Left for 5 days via easyJet. Check-in: good, despite a very late arrival we received the access codes a few hours before. The keys, everything was ready. Room: 5 double family rooms. Clean, nothing to say on that side, but very dark, wallpaper a bit old-fashioned and damaged, dated furniture. Breakfast: don't linger too long in the morning if you still want a choice. No chocolate milk for the kids, no kettle or microwave. So quite limited. Staff: smiling and helpful. Housekeeping very well done every day. Location: ideal, 5 minutes on foot from the Trevi Fountain, you can't do better. Overall good, but you shouldn't trust the photos.
Family of 5 stayed for 4 nights. Fantastic base for exploring the city, but not for those seeking great rest. The positives - location. 10 mins walk to Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps. 15 to Pantheon. 30 to Colosseum, 45 to Vatican and an hour to Stadio Olimpico. Lots of places to eat locally and convenience stores. Staff - were happy to help our request for 2nd set of keys. Also really clear instructions to self check-in, sent mid afternoon on arrival day. Room - we all had reasonable beds. Shower pressure a little low but usable. Hot water took a few mins to get going but once ready, was certainly hot enough. Fridge was very cold, making it easy to store breakfast items. Negatives - noise. Yes you will hear the next room flush the toilet or use the shower. Noise from the street - cars on the cobbled road or emergency response. But if you're tired day after day from exploring the city, we had no issue getting 6-8 hours sleep and going again. If you're looking for a base to see the city and crash out when you're exhausted, it's a more than passable choice. If you want hours in the room, 10 hours sleep etc, then this probably isn't for you.
We didnt have any of the problems others seem to have. The room was great, a good size for staying for a week for both of us. Theres loads of drawer storage and a good size wardrobe with hangers. There was a fridge, kettle, the shower worked and the bed felt brand new, it was comfortable for us and we are quite fussy! The door double locked and the floor we were on had its own locked door which made us feel very safe. There were net curtains, heavy curtains and a shutter so no issues with light. We could hear a baby crying next door and murmuring of voices but thats no different to most hotels in London! Take earplugs if you struggle with noise and you will be fine. Breakfast was exactly as they describe on their website - continental with pastries, fresh sandwiches, ham/salami and cheese, two types of cereal and plenty of jams. The only feedback I have here is that there was no consideration of allergies such as celiac or dairy but there is a supermarket just over the road that sells oat milk and dairy free yoghurt which I got and chucked in my fridge in the room, so could have those with the cereals. I am sure if you speak to the staff they can help though - we just dealt with it. As others have mentioned, the location is spot on - walking distance to absolutely everything. Overall, we had a great time and will definitely recommend it/come back if we come back to Rome.
