We didn’t find our welcome to be very friendly at all, we were given a piece of paper before we were able to check in, we weren’t told what this paper was for or if we had to keep it, when we did check in I was passed a plain white card and before I could ask anything to man turned around and picked up a phone. The lady next to him then explained to me that my room number was on the piece of paper I had been handed earlier, however she did not say, that this piece of paper is needed to enter the restaurant for breakfast ect, this was very confusing the day we went down, a bit more information on check in would be helpful. There is also 2 sides of the hotel and weren’t told what side we were on. The Spa is pretty poor to be honest, there’s not much point in having it. It’s only open 4-8pm, you have to pay €6 extra to use the sauna and you have to pay to rent a swim hat or you’re unable to enter the pool. The food was okay, we were only bed and breakfast, there could be more options but you would definitely be able to find something to eat there. The rooms are nice and spacious and very clean. The pools are nice and a good temperature with plenty of sun lounges for the time of year we were there (June). Very good location, walking distance to waterpark and theme park and to the main strip. I think it would be a great hotel for families. Overall I definitely would stay again however, not in a rush.

Just back yesterday. Very impressed with the hotel. The staff work so hard the hotel is so clean! The food is really excellent and the staff are all so happy and friendly, from the main reception the waitresses and the bar staff Sergi was so sweet and friendly. We had rooms next door from each other overlooking pool as requested we had a lovely holiday thank you hotel sol Costa daurada. Oh and the lifeguard always had a good morning too!

Great hotel in a great location. Pool area lovely and plenty of sunbeds. Short walk down into town via the gate in the garden/pool area. Jacuzzi and indoor pool open at certain hours (don't forget your swim cap). Additional charge for sauna and steam room. The pool bar/snack bar was good. Outdoor evening entertainment very loud, don't expect to get any sleep until midnight. Be aware that the hotel welcomes groups of schoolchildren. They generally weren't a problem, but breakfast time is like a cattle market.......groups of these kids wandering around the dining area, eating from their plates as they browsed the offerings, licking their fingers then selecting something else, sneezing, picking noses and then handling food! Not the hotel's fault but something to be aware of......it was gross!! The breakfast itself was disappointing, hot food offerings not that warm, very little choice (I've had better in lower starred hotels) and generally very bland. Catering staff work hard but all those kids must be a bit overwhelming. I would visit again as the positives far outweighed the negatives. Very close to Portaventura Theme Parks and Salou Portaventura railway station for quick access to Tarragona or elsewhere by train.
