The hotel was exceptionally clean. The food was excellent both with variety and taste. A bit out of the way so had to hire taxis. The let down was definitely the fact we were full board but had to pay for drinks at meals. We couldn't even get coffee in dining room after our meal. I was also surprised the bathroom didn't have any shampoo etc. one thing I must say is there were fresh towels every day and rooms cleaned every day. I felt the reception staff were not that knowleable regarding transport etc. we were told it would take 1 and half hours to get to Barcelona by train but it took 3 hours. Entertainment okay. The other thing was the deposit for iron, pool towels and safe pretty steep @ £20 euros for towels and iron and £10 for safe. All in all the food and the cleanliness is worth the visit

First of all we had a lovely holiday at the Sol Costa Duarada but it is not a 4* hotel. Hotel reception is lovely and the staff were very efficient and helpful. Pool area is lovely and clean. Plenty of sun loungers and chairs. Pool bar and food were all good and reasonably priced. We didn’t stay in for any of the entertainment but there was always plenty going on for families. We had two rooms and I had emailed the hotel asking for them to be next to each other if possible. They were fantastic and we had adjoining rooms with a pool view. The rooms were dated but very clean and comfortable - cleaned daily with fresh towels. There was shower gel and hand wash but no extra toiletries such as shower caps or shampoo that I would expect from a 4* For a 4* I would expect the safe to be included - we had to pay extra and carry the key around with us. There were no tea or coffee facilities in the rooms. Again for 4* I think a kettle is a must. You can rent them from reception but we didn’t bother. We were half board and found the food to be ok. I had read previous reviewers and to be honest it was as I expected. We had breakfast every day and dinner 4 out of 7 days. We found the restaurant to be very noisy. There were always plenty of tables free to sit at and staff cleared tables quickly. Location wise it’s about 10 mins to the beach and Salou centre. We don’t mind walking so we were fine with that. Again I had read the reviews so knew the location. All in all a good holiday but definitely not 4*

Incredible people always available to help us from the reception to the pool bar, 5-star employees, good rooms, good food, we will surely be back soon, thank you very much
