Is everything you dont want for a holiday… dirty, old poor service, no kids club available, and money for value is not enough.

Booked via Secret Escapes & cost a lot. Avoid. This is just awful. We are here now & I just want to go home. Not 4 star by any means. It is like staying in a youth hostel. Room is cramped & this was a superior room - look out on a huge tree obscuring any view and paid extra for balcony. Can hardly open shower door as it hits the basin. Room is dark with hardly any lights & not enough sockets to have bedside lamp on as well as charging a phone. No room for cases & having to lug it onto the bed to get stuff out as hardly any storage. No iron & only two clothes hangers. Don’t bring nice clothes you won’t need them! Checked in - felt dismissed & told to find our room in a separate block with the point of the finger & its over there! Heavy luggage had to be manoeuvred ourselves through flights of steps and cobbled paths. Dirty tables in bar area heaving with glasses & dirty plates & no table service (4 star - would expect this). This was late afternoon. Ketchup smears on table. Food so far luke warm if you are lucky & so dull - school dinners more appealing! More vegetables at breakfast than with dinner! Salad bar ok but nothing decent to have with it. No butter to be seen & bread being man handled by everyone ! Yoghurt & granola was the best option. Never any glasses or cups & almighty queue for coffee machine. Avoid tea it is awful. Having stayed in Split before reaching Hvar the comparison is opposite end of the scale. Only good thing is the scenery! Evening was so dull we walked for well over an hour absolutely nothing to do. Thoroughly miserable as stuck in the middle of nowhere. No atmosphere. Longing to get home and I have never said that about a holiday before.
