Not a 4 stars hotel the breakfast was terrible, no hot English, no cold continental no anmerican style what a disgrace, for the price and a 4 stars they should be ashamed the only offering was croissants fresh plums and some apples, no eggs no bacon no mushrooms or tomatoes no ham or cheeses, no yogurts or granola practically nothing, never againwe stopped 1 night before catching a plain, we would have been better in a hostel

First the good news. The hotel is well situated and in a very interesting building which doubtless accounts for some of its quirks! The staff are singularly lacking in the spirit of hospitality and we were not even acknowledged on leaving. My room lacked tissues, USB charging points and the means to make any form of drinks in the room. the power point for the TV was hanging off the wall! Neither the safe or the phone worked and I would say the room furnishing was dated at best. If you’re expecting luxury look elsewhere would be my advice.

I would rate this hotel zero star if I could. For anyone thinking of booking, I strongly urge you to read this review. We booked on the assumption that this hotel was above average given its 4 star rating. However, we quickly realised that this was not the case. We only stayed for a few nights and yet we encountered numerous issues in such a short period. 1) No A/C anywhere throughout the hotel except the bedrooms. Considering this is a four star hotel, it just seems bizarre to me that they wouldn’t try to cool the hotel down using fans or install A/C. 2) Incredibly rude reception staff that showed a complete lack of customer service or basic manners. On arrival, they didn’t offer to help carry luggage up the stairs to the lift. Upon leaving the hotel, they couldn’t even bring themselves to ask something as simple as “how was your stay”. Instead we were met with silence and an unfriendly stare. 3) The lock on the door did not work which brings into question this hotels lack of standards around theirs guest’s safety. To top it off, a “do not disturb” sign was not even provided. This resulted in the house keeper coming into our room whilst we were sleeping at about 9am which is simply unacceptable. 4) They deliberately confiscated our second key card so that our A/C could not stay on whilst we were out, meaning we came back to a 30 degrees room every day. 5) No complimentary water in the room like the vast majority of hotels offer as common courtesy, especially whilst its hot. 6) The breakfast was also subpar. It was advertised as a continental breakfast with a range of fresh fruit, pastries and other options. However, the selection was very disappointing, with stale croissants and milk and juice that had been left at room temperature rather than being properly chilled. Overall, the breakfast did not meet the standard we expected based on how it was advertised. 7) The safe did not work and required multiple phone calls to reception before they finally sent someone to fix it. 8) The shower leaked resulting in a puddle of water on the bathroom floor after each use. Safe to say, we will never be staying here again and urge anyone considering it to look elsewhere.
