The Polonia Palace Hotel is gorgeous. It’s a historic building, with luxurious public spaces and the rooms are very big. The breakfast is very good and one evening I ordered a duck entre in the bar of all places…it was mouthwateringly tender and so much I shared with friends. Everyone agreed it was the best duck they had ever tasted. I did also get a massage in their small spa. It was not a luxury spa but the masseuse was very nice and I enjoyed it. Highly recommend this hotel.

Our family had a great time. Everyone was friendly, room was clean and spacious, centrally located near train stops, walkable to many restaurants and historic sites. Breakfast was amazing! It was quiet there and we slept great. We can't wait to go back.

My two friends and I went to the hotel bar. We’re regulars and visit this bar practically every week. We’ve never been treated this way before. Before we placed our order, we went to the restroom. Literally a moment later, someone started knocking very aggressively on the stall door. When I came out, I saw a security guard who was inside the women’s restroom. From the very first words, he behaved aggressively and, raising his voice, ordered us to leave the restroom. I explained that we were guests of the hotel bar and had just arrived as customers. Despite this, the security guard continued to insist in a raised voice that the restroom was intended exclusively for hotel guests. When we informed him again that we were customers of the bar located on the ground floor of the hotel, him say, “This isn’t UKR.” I found this completely incomprehensible and offensive. I am not a citizen of this country and never have been. Comments of this kind regarding a customer’s presumed origin are unacceptable and can be perceived as a sign of prejudice and discrimination. I am deeply disappointed with the level of service. From a hotel of this caliber, I would expect professionalism, good manners, and respect for guests. Instead, we were met with shouting, aggressive behaviour, and inappropriate comments regarding our alleged origin.
